Got questions on how to hire a student for a gig?
Get your answers here.
It depends on the task. Some tasks are time-sensitive and need to be completed quickly, while others are more flexible. As a general rule, try to schedule tasks at least 3-5 days in advance to give everyone enough time to prepare. The more lead time you can provide, the smoother the process will be for everyone.
If your student helper is running late, you can send them a message through the app to adjust the timing. If they cancel or don’t arrive, you have the option to reschedule, cancel the gig without penalty, or tap “Find another helper” to request a quick replacement.
We expect students to communicate proactively, but if there’s a no-show or repeated lateness, we encourage you to report it in the app. Our team reviews all reports to help ensure students remain accountable and reliable for future gigs.
Use the questions in “Create New Task” to guide you. Include a clear description of the task, expected time, tools provided, pet or access notes, and your ideal schedule. The app suggests typical local price ranges as a default, so use those if you’re unsure.
